Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
A medium bodied wine with aromas of orange blossom, green apple, vanilla, toasty oak, coconut, nutmeg, clove and butterscotch. The wine is warm and round on the palate with a bright acidity leading to a mouth watering finish
Winemaker Notes
A medium-bodied Chardonnay. Grapes were fermented and aged separately in three types of oak barrels - American, Canadian and French and then blended.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs well with many seafood dishes such as lobster with butter sauce where the buttery Chardonnay mirrors the lobster's richness; seared scallops or halibut in cream sauce where the creamy sauce echoes the wine's texture; and crab cakes with aioli where the oak notes and creaminess complement the fried seafood richness. This is also an excellent wine with pasta dishes such as Pasta Alfredo or Carbonara, mushroom risotto or butternut squash ravioli with sage brown butter. Creamy rich cheeses such as Brie or Camembert work well with the wine's creaminess.
