This full, forceful wine cries out to be matched with food to balance the higher alcohol content. A true chameleon that changes with the food pairing. Has continued to develop in the bottle over the past eight months.
A full bodied and crisp wine with aromas and flavours of white flowers, pear, peach, vanilla and anise combine beautifully on the palate to create an intense, strong and spicy finish. Best serving temperature 7-10C
Pinot Blanc, while a rarity in the Niagara Peninsula, is often considered a connoisseur’s wine and Strewn is extremely proud of the 2015 Pinot Blanc Terroir which was produced from exceptional fruit harvested mid-October at 24 Brix from the home farms. Tastings were conducted during the pressing cycles to ensure the wine contained the desirable pithiness of premium Pinot Blancs. Fermented at cool temperatures, the wine was subsequently stabilized and sterile filtered to the bottling line.
