2020 Distinctive Small Lot Meritage French Oak

In Stock
Meritage is a term used in North America to identify a blend typically found in the Bordeaux region of France. By regulation, the red blend can only consist of five specific varietals, with no one varietal accounting for more than 90%. The 2020 Distinctive Small Lot Meritage Canadian Oak is 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. Less than 175 cases were made as individual barrels of the two wines were selected before making the blend. The result is a fuller-bodied red wine withan elegant, intense character balanced by soft tannins on a fresh, lingering finish.

Food Pairing Notes
This is a very versatile wine. Pair with roast beef and hearty stews or tomato based Italian dishes. Anything on the grill - hamburgers, steak - will work with this wine as well!
