Aromas and flavours of raspberries, strawberries, coffee, tobacco, spice, dill, flint, black pepper, smoke, and toasty oak. With its vibrant acidity the wine has a beautiful balance producing long and firm tannins at the finish. Best serving temperature: 16° to 19°C
Produced from fruit harvested 15th November, 2017 from the Home Farm at an outstanding 26.5o Bx, and the winery owner’s vineyard on 22nd November, 2017 at 25.3o Bx. After fermentation in small stainless steel bins with daily pigéage and malo-lactic fermentation, the wines were pressed to oak barrels. After 18 month maturation, an blend consisting 55% American, 18% French and 27% Canadian oak (55% new/45% seasoned) was assembled and bottled.
