2016 Terroir Chardonnay American Oak
The vibrant acidity balances very well with its aromas and flavours of orange blossom, orange peel, green apple, vanilla, cloves, spice, caramel, and butterscotch producing a flavourful finish on the palate.
Produced from fruit harvested October 12, 2016 at 24 Bx from the Strewn Home Farm vineyard. Following pressing, the juice was racked to 100% American oak barrels for fermentation and subsequent maturation with occasional battonage over 10 months. Following blending the wine was sterile filtered before bottling.
Food Pairing Notes
The earthy note is a great complement to dishes with cooked mushrooms such as Grilled Portobello Risotto, Baked Snapper with a Mushroom Duxelle or Wild Mushroom Crepes
