Aromas and flavours of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, vanilla, mocha, chocolate, leather and toasty oak balance well with the crisp acidity and light tannins at the finish. Best serving temperature 16 - 19 C
A finessed yet enriching Niagara Merlot fashioned from grapes grown primarily at the home farm and crushed in open bin fermenters. Maturation for 15 months preceded the assembly of a nine barrel blend of predominantly seasoned oak with two thirds French oak barriques. The wine was bottled under screw-cap with minimal treatment to ensure retention of finest flavour and intensity.
