A well balanced, light bodied wine with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, tobacco, black pepper, vanilla and toasty oak on the palate. Fresh, smooth and silky. Best serving temperature: 16° to 19°C
After fermentation in small stainless steel bins with daily pigéage and malo-lactic fermentation, the wines were pressed to oak barrels. After 14 months maturation in oak, a 11 barrel blend was created using 9 American oak barrels and 2 French oak and bottled.
Food Pairing Notes
Accentuate the wine's herbaceous and savoury notes with portobello mushroom, smoked meats, barbecued chicken or red meat and even eggplant Parmesan. Its medium high acidity helps balance fat in food; the medium body pairs well with both rich and lighter dishes.
