Rich, creamy and round. A beautiful combination of aromas and flavours of green apple, pear, vanilla, spice, toasty oak, butter and caramel that produce a delightful sensation of creaminess with a round, full finish. Best serving temperature 10-13C
Produced from a stellar vintage for this Burgundian white varietal. The 2014 French Oak Chardonnay was blended from grapes from two premium vineyards located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, including the Strewn home farm. The juice was fermented in barrels which resulted in a unique personality based on the particular oak. The wine was then left on lees with occasional battonage. After 10 months sur lie, a four barrel assemblage was blended straight from oak, followed by stabilization and filtration to bottling. The wine was permitted 11 months lay down in bottle prior to release.
