2021 Terroir Viognier
In Stock
Viognier is a bit of a sleeper grape variety, which at one time was considered to be the next cult wine. While it hasn't yet taken off in a big way, Viognier is a low-yielding variety that is recognised for its abundant peach and nectarine aromas and flavours. Strewn's 2021 vintage is dry, medium-bodied and aromatic.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
A delicate, distinctive wine on the fruit and flower spectrum that is gentle on the palate. Its bouquet shows aromas of rose petals, pineapple, pear and a touch of gingerbread. Best Serving Temperature 6° to 9° C.
Winemaker Notes
Produced from fruit harvested at 22 Brix from an outstanding Niagara-on-the-Lake vineyard which prides itself on high quality Viognier fruit. The juice was fermented using a specialty yeast in stainless steel at cooler temperatures. The ferment proceeded to a final residual sugar of 6.5 g/L with a corresponding alcohol of 13.5%, producing a Viognier displaying subtle yet deep aromas with an opulent and textured palate. The wine was cold and heat stabilized before being bottled through a sterile filter under screw cap.
Food Pairing Notes
Guiding principle: you want to complement the floral notes and the medium acidity. A lovely match with Thai dishes, including fresh Mango Salad and Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp.
