2016 Terroir Gewurztraminer
A lovely Gewurztraminer from an extremely hot, dry year. Fresh tasting with intense aromas of floral and spice. Great mouthfeel and viscosity.
Brix at Harvest
Fruity and spicy. Aromas and flavours of lilies, honeysuckle, lychee, canteloupe, honeydew melon and a touch of white pepper. Crisp acidity spicy finish. Best serving temperature 10 to 12 C.
The fruit was harvested from the home farm mid-October during the cool late afternoon. Sitting on skins overnight allowed further extraction of varietal traits, in particular the desired pithiness on the tail of the palate. Post-pressing, the juice was fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel down to dryness, ensuring the wine exhibits a virtue with inherent richness and viscosity of the varietal.

Dishes with a little heat including Indian curries and shrimp or chicken jambalaya, and recipes with caramelized onions.
