A medium to full bodied wine with aromas and flavours of strawberries, raspberries, vanilla, coffee, tobacco and hint of black pepper that balance well with its acidity and tannins, producing a smooth, spicy finish. Best serving temperature 16 - 19 C
Our premium version of this well-established Niagara varietal was produced from grapes harvested from the Strewn home farm in late November and fermented in open bins for greater extraction of flavour. After 18 months, a six barrel assemblage of primarily new American oak barriques was blended before minimal treatment on route to bottle under screw-cap.
